The client specialises in the sale of Scientific equipment and advanced materials for research and industry. They are based in UK but supply worldwide. They believe that quality, specification and competitive pricing are of the upmost importance to their customers.

Job Role
You will take responsibility for a specific portfolio of research equipment including film coaters, ionographs and chucks. You will be seeking out new business as well as maintaining and developing the existing customer accounts. You would be based primarily in the Tamworth office but will need to spend a minimum of 5 days a month visiting our UK customers and there will be future opportunities for overseas travel.

Your responsibilities would include responding to customer enquiries, following up on sales leads, maintaining and developing current relationships with existing customers and supplies and providing after-sales support. You would need to communicate with potential clients through face to face meetings, trade and pop-up exhibitions, telephone and emails. You would be working with the marketing department to identify applicable industry data and contact details from social media, published research and other web-based sources to generate new business. You would need to feedback on supplier activities and suggest new innovations for the company product portfolio. This role primarily involves the equipment sales.

-1-2 years’ experience in technical or scientific sales
-experience in sourcing contacts and developing new business relationships
-experience with web-based marketing tools, Microsoft Office and CRM databases
-full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (essential user allowance in payable)
-a sound knowledge of chemical formulae as well as metric and imperial units of measurement

-a degree in Materials Science, Chemistry/Metallurgy or equivalent
-knowledge of advanced materials research

-essential car user allowance
-28 days holidays and additional Christmas Shutdown
-uncapped bonus scheme for sales above OTE
