YMCA Wellington provide accommodation and support for people aged 16 -25 and we are a Thrive Telford partner, providing high quality floating support to vulnerable people in the Telford area.

Following the expansion of our knowledgeable and friendly team in recent years, we are looking for a Senior Support Worker to effectively line manage a team of support staff and volunteers and oversee the management of customer files across the service.

They will also manage a small caseload of customers across our Floating Support and Supported Accommodation services and represent the organisation at a range of meetings.


We need someone who can evidence delivery of high quality support to vulnerable customers; someone with knowledge of the benefits system, housing, youth and safeguarding services.  Strong interpersonal skills and common sense are essential.  Experience of line management is preferred but candidates who are looking to take the next step in their career will be welcomed.  The post will include visiting customers in their homes so a full driving licence and access to a car for business use will be required.
