Education for Health is a leading UK-based educational charity, working to transform the lives of people living with long term health conditions. The overarching goal of Education for Health is that 'everyone living with a long term condition should receive high quality care’. The charity works towards this aim in two ways: by delivering excellent clinical training to health professionals, and by working with other organisations to improve health policy by advocating for improvements in the care of those living with long term conditions. We now have a new role which will report to the Head of Operational Support from January 2019

  • Primary responsibility

    • To provide a wide range of proactive admin support to Chief Exec and her Deputy acting as their PA
    • To provide admin support to Board, its sub groups and Senior Management Team (SMT) meetings
    • To support the Executive Team with their statutory governance requirements and supporting the Deputy Chief Executive with Company Secretary/Charity responsibilities

    Secondary responsibility

    • Be a champion of change and embrace new technologies to aid smarter working of the SMT
    • Working as part of the wider admin team to support the charity’s infrastructure with meetings, reception duties, procurement, coordinating essential services eg security

      Person SpecificationQualification & Experience
    • Educated to Degree level (preferable)
    • Has been a PA/ office manager for a minimum of 3 years

    • Been able to make a demonstrable positive impact on an organisation -the role will involve working across a small organisation to make a significant impact

    • Has introduced or taken an active role in organisational change

    • Has worked with a wide range of technologies and understands the value this can bring when used appropriately

    • Time management skills- Can manage a varied workload and work within a process

    • IT literate and competent in Microsoft Office

    • Pragmatic, common sense, approachable

    • Understands the challenges of implementing change

    • Maintains enthusiasm in the face of setbacks

    • Ability to deal with issues understanding sensitivities and confidentiality
