This market leading global organisation is seeking a Service Desk Technician / 1st line Support (any 2nd line exposure would prove beneficial) to join them as they continue to grow. The role provides the opportunity to build and expand your hands on experience and skills within mobile working solutions and associated devices.

Role: Service Desk Technician / 1st line Support / 2nd line support

Salary: £26,165 plus regular salary increments, pension, 5 weeks holiday + 8 bank holidays, death in service, long service reward, paternity, maternity and adoption pay, bike to work scheme, online discounts, excellent training and development

Location: Atherstone - commutable from Sutton Coldfield, Nuneaton, Hinckley, Lichfield, Burton-upon-Trent, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Birmingham, Coventry, Solihull, Walsall, Derby, Cannock, Stafford, Leicester, Loughborough

The successful Service Desk Technician / 1st line Support / 2nd line support role include:

* Provide first and second level support to regional sites including the escalation of any issues to external support partners when necessary
* Manage/prioritise/assign tickets and escalations appropriately to the 2nd and 3rd line teams
* On-site Regional support for rollouts / new Regions (some UK and European travel may be required)
* Test hardware and program updates to verify whether newly implemented requirements and existing functionality operate without errors
* Create and review user manuals and knowledgebase documents
* Perform system maintenance/support which will occasionally fall outside of normal business hours
* Regular investigation of new technology and report accordingly

The successful Service Desk Technician / 1st line Support / 2nd line support will have the following:

* Experience of supporting a MS Windows based IT environment
* Experience of supporting & managing a mobile device solution (preferably MobileIron)
* Exposure to VPN and Mobile Working support
* Awareness of video conference solutions and support
