Waking Nights Support Worker - part-time - 19 hpw
Are you looking for night shift work? Could you support people with learning disabilities?
You'll be working at our Registered Care home in Ludlow, Shropshire, where we support six adults with a range of learning disabilities. You'll be available when they are wakeful at night and check at regular intervals to ensure they are comfortable and getting a good night's sleep ready for the next day. You will need to provide support with intimate care or medication. This is an important role to make sure people feel safe at all times and not vulnerable during the night.
This position is across 19 hours each week, on a 6 weekly shift pattern which will include some weekends.
What we need from you
Experience is not necessary, as we provide a full induction and free training programme, so this role is suitable for a trainee. People join us from many different backgrounds, it's more important to us that you have a positive approach and are willing to learn. We'll provide the day-to-day support of your manager, and you will always have someone to approach for advice during your shift.
