A very well-known company that offers green services in the social housing, local authority, education, construction and civil engineering are recruiting for a Bid Writer/Business Development that also has the ability to identify a new sales opportunity when they see one.

You will be expected to play an integral role in the tender process though concept through to completion, which includes the tender submissions, selection of questionnaires and proposals making sure they are technically accurate that promotes their brand in a positive way and well researched. They have a healthy win ratio and would like to maintain this; on average they produce 75 tenders per year.

·Read and interpret tender documents, fully understanding the requirements of the tender and their obligations
·Complete a tender checklist and circulate to the project team and leadership team
·Understand current service standards, local perception of the service and identify unique characteristics of the project that might contribute to their submission
·Review method statement and selection questionnaire requirements and construct a compelling response to these
·Schedule operational meetings to develop the project with colleagues & sign off price meetings
·Proof reading of you and your colleagues works
·Update the tender library for easy access for you and your colleagues
·Prepare presentations and attend interviews with potential Clients
·Arrange and attend networking events that are relevant to the industry
·Undertake site visits to understand the project in more detail.

Relationship management

·Maintain relationships at all levels across the company and be confident in dealing with major stakeholders, in particular, being able to answer any questions that the bid teams may have in relation to the tender.
·When awarded with the contract, conduct handovers to the operational teams.
·Liaise with HR and Finance in relation to your tender submissions making sure that all data is accurate.
