As an ADAS SYSTEM ENGINEER at a prestigious Technical Research and Development Centre, you will join the new Connected Autonomous Vehicle team. You will be responsible for coordinating with control systems as well as hardware and software engineers to ensure robust and timely system deliveries whilst executing robust electrical system validation and vehicle testing. This challenging role requires a degree qualified engineer with extensive years of experience in lane keep assistance/ departure, autonomous emergency braking and camera/ radar systems
Responsibilities include: - System testing to ensure that the system has met the required specification - Identify and contain functional issues - Manage timing issues through liaison with system engineers, managers and third-party suppliers - Define additional test scenarios to improve the functional performance of the ADAS system - Identify the most effective approach to validate the ADAS system performance and behaviour
Your Profile: - Degree educated in Electrical Engineering or Automotive Engineering or other engineering discipline. - Strong awarenes of system engineering principles and the software development lifecycle gained in an automotive environment (OEM or 1st tier) - Understand software requirements, authoring and decomposition into software units - Knowledge of problem-solving reporting tools such as Six Sigma, 5D, Is/Is Not, Fault Tree, etc. - Experience of logical, physical systems architecture, and both functional and non-functional requirements design - Understanding of quality methods and experience with real-time control systems design. - Experience of component, system, and vehicle level issue investigation, software development delivery diagnostic system strategy implementation, vehicle network configuration, and requirement capture and design - Good understanding of different validation and simulation technique - Good IT skills & experience of appropriate software applications (Excel, MS Project etc.)
