Job Title: Construction Manager

Main function: This vacancy is for our House Building Team with sites around Shropshire. Managing the construction activities across the company, including pre-production planning, resource allocation, post-production quality checks and ensuring all production activities adhere to health and safety regulations and ISO standards.

Role responsibilities:

• Review operations daily and liaise with all departments to ensure the production process runs effectively across all sites - communicate project status at both production and senior management level.
• Plan details of production activity in terms of output quality and quantity, cost, time available and labour requirements.
• Organise workflow according to workload and following build and delivery schedules - adjust production schedules if problems arise.
• Arrange and conduct morning production meetings.
• Update and maintain production control records including the build schedule, quality records, inspection reports, and completion of electrical and mechanical certificates.
• Ensure the completion of all duties is carried out with a minimum of waste and
• Have responsibility for maintaining Elements OHSAS18001, ISO9001 and ISO14001 systems along with BOPAS, CE Marking and EN1090 accreditations/certifications, and integrating new policies and procedures throughout production.
• Control efficient use of factory through planning of maintenance tasks to both the building and equipment, and performing routine actions which keep the building/equipment in working order.
• Process labour costs to accounts.
• Clear leadership of the workforce - Leading and motivating the team to deliver established levels of performance in terms of safety, quality and efficiency.
• Supervise the production team to prioritise jobs and, when necessary, reorganise to meet deadline changes and updates.
• Control the lines to the correct specification, in quantity and timing as set out by the build schedule, and maintain the quality and standards determined in-house and by customers.
• Measure productivity and ensure employees work within statutory requirements at all times and to promote a safety culture on site.
• Communicate project status on request.
• Responsible for the formation and control of quality control targets and critical inspection stages and ensure that they are established and met
• Oversee all staff scheduling, time off requests and overtime arrangements
