Halfords Autocentres are introducing a new team in to the Commercial team based at our Support Centre in Redditch.

We are currently looking for someone to work part time Friday & Saturday 8hr days to support the centres.

What is the purpose of the role?

The Parts Helpdesk Advisor will be responsible for supporting the Halfords Parts Helpdesk. The job holder will provide the business with operational support with the Parts ordering process, via Halfords garage management systems (PACE).

What does the role involve?

The Parts Helpdesk Advisor will report to the Parts Helpdesk Manager and will be responsible for the following:
Ensure accurate and timely processing of parts orders received from the garage network Ensure purchases are made via Approved Suppliers and monitor supplier spend levels Provide support for the garage network to ensure that issues are resolved quickly Develop communication methods to ensure that all centres understand how they can access Helpdesk services Utilise the company intranet to improve process wherever possible Monitor supplier performance levels and ensure that SLA's are being met Identify and manage poor performance accordingly Ensure that all suppliers are providing relevant management information Work closely with Category Management department to ensure that the Helpdesk is integrated with business strategy
What skills are you looking for?

You will have strong knowledge of parts market, previous experience of parts sourcing, supply roles and process management skills. You will have the ability to identify and re-work inefficient process, strong problem solving skills; find solutions to sourcing requirements and able to work under pressure, to tight timescales. In this role, you will need to be customer focused; skilled at identifying customer needs, have the ability to inspire all colleagues around them and a self starter, with the ability to act on own initiative and identify best way forward.

You will have a positive attitude with a can-do spirit and ability to make things happen and strong engagement skills, with ability to bring key stakeholders along with them.
