My client manages a large fleet of premium vehicles and they currently have a great opportunity for an individual who can ensure that the fleet is kept in prime condition, well presented and maintained. This position could suit someone with experience controlling a vehicle workshop, who has experience of dealing with vehicle repairs and managing technicians. The job includes a lot of administrative work, scheduling vehicles and liaising with the drivers on vehicle issues. Key duties and responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinating vehicle bookings and ensuring allocations meet these requirements using fleet management system FMS
  • Managing vehicle job sheets through dealer workshops
  • Coordinate inhouse workshop facility and manage through put of work
  • Prioritise and coordinate valet staff in accordance with bookings
  • Liaise with Dealer workshops to book in and manage warranty failures and major reworks
  • Arrange and sort vehicle transport requirements for the site
  • Support the site manager with ensuring vehicle process and procedures are fulfilled
  • Global and UK logistical support as required
  • General equipment stock control, adhering to auditing procedures and timelines
  • Responsible for coordinating all on site allocated trailers and ancillary equipment etc.
  • Maintain company audit requirements on behalf of the site pertaining to vehicles and equipment
  • Responsible for the provision of PPE to site for customers and staff (internal ordering system)
  • Responsible for maintenance arrangements and all disposal processes on site
  • Coordinate inspections of kit and equipment to meet insurance criteria
  • Reporting any engineering issues with the Fleet Technical Engineer
  • Maintain and audit kit and equipment held in store

Skills, experience and qualifications

  • Knowledge and practical understanding of Health & Safety, COSHH and Environmental procedures
  • Knowledge of fleet management system preferred
  • A process focused individual with small business awareness
  • Good communication skills
  • Organisational abilities - the ability to support a large number of activities simultaneously
  • PC skills - computer literacy i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Google mail as well as working with internal company database
  • Work on own initiative with minimal management supervision
  • Must have full UK driving licence

Normal working hours 8am - 5pm but occasionally staff may be asked to work different/extended hours.
