This company produce the world’s most advanced small engines.Their heavy fuel engines are used in Unmanned Ariel Vehicles and small Auxiliary Power Units for military and aerospace requirements.

You will be trained in this specialist field in the design and development of engines.The company utilise the latest rapid design techniques from skeleton design CAD templates, analysis is performed using FEA and CFD techniques.

What would the role entail?

You will be completing duties in the design and development of advanced small engines for the use in the military and aerospace fields.

The training will take place at LEMA academy in Hockley where you will be required to attend a 6 week programme prior to starting the apprenticeship and you will spend 2 days per week gaining your Level 1 Certificate in Engineering. On successful completion of this, you will move onto your apprenticeship where 1 day a week will be spent in classroom/workshop based learning to gain your Level 2 Diploma in Performing Engineering Operations and Diploma in Engineering and Technology and 4 days with your employer. On successful completion of your Level 2 Apprenticeship, you will then be given the opportunity to progress to our Level 3 Apprenticeship Programme.

Our client will support the achievement of your qualifications and support with the development of your career and learning long term.

Good IT skills are also essential combined with a minimum of 5 GCSE's grade A - C including Maths and English or equivalent.This is open to 16-18 year olds.
