Immediate Start

1. You will assist in the manufacture of high quality Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) products with a zero tolerance on rejects / scrap components, to very tight deadlines including working as a team to maintain current levels of customer satisfaction.

2. Main duties:
Using semi-permanent wax systems to maintain the quality of moulds.
Brush and Spray Gel-Coating onto mould surfaces, which require a degree of care.
Upon Brush Gel-Coating the gel-coat should be brushed out to give a uniform coverage without runs.
Upon Spray Gel-coating the experience of using the equipment and initial /previous training by the supplier will give a uniform coverage without runs.

Using Gel-Coat gauges to ensure the film thickness applied is correct to specification.
A clear understanding of how the gel-coater and Chopper system equipment operates is key, including primary set-up and troubleshooting of the equipment.

Fibreglass material cutting using the templates and dimensions provided.

Hand Lay, Wetting out the mat with resin identified within your teams department, to the correct specification the tools you use are of your own personal preference, however you are fully responsible for product quality and therefore must ensure that the mat is evenly rolled out removing all air and reducing the amount of spikes.
In-Process inspection is key to maintaining delivery performance and customer relationships; you are fully responsible for inspecting your gelcoat thickness preventing (WEAK GEL) and Mat consolidation preventing (CAVITIES) and overall product quality.
