A self-driven Head Chef or a talented Sous Chef, looking for their next step-up, is needed to join a luxury 17th Century Inn based in a beautiful location, right by the River Severn. Expect an exciting role where you can input ideas, design menus, create amazing dishes and really put your stamp on this newly renovated business. (There is the option to live-in for the right candidate).

Having recently undergone a fantastic refurbishment project, this exciting venue has created an enviable, laid-back atmosphere, offering casual drinks, fine dining and lunch time gatherings. They are now seeking a passionate Head Chef / Sous Chef to help fulfil their ambitions to be a leading Gastropub.

As the Head Chef / Sous Chef you will manage a small, young, dynamic kitchen team tasked with ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen. Whether you are creating menus and dishes; managing the preparation / cooking of food; managing costings; updating and managing rotas or training and motivating you team, you will play a vital role in ensuring menus are prepared and costed accordingly and the stock / hygiene / food safety expectations are met.

To qualify... You should be a Head Chef / Sous Chef / Deputy Chef / Experienced Chef or similar, who can demonstrate:

  • Experience in a busy restaurant / hotel / brasserie kitchen / gastro pub;
  • The ability to take control of the kitchen;
  • Experience of working with fresh food;
  • A passion for delivering fantastic food;
  • Experience of working to the highest standards of hygiene and safety;
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Superb attention to detail;
  • Driven and self-motivated.
