Technical Manager - Wet Paint Application and Robotic Experience Required
My client specialises in the manual and robotic application of wet paint coatings. Serving a wide range of customers in the automotive, defence, medical and consumer goods sectors.
The company is in the process of strengthening and developing its management teams to allow continued growth of the business.
As part of the senior management team take responsibility for improving current manufacturing processes.
Carry out risk assessments and ensure processes comply with H&S requirements.
Write SOP’s and train operatives on best working methods.
Champion 5S and continuous improvement programs.
Manage the NPI process.
Looking for someone with in-depth wet paint spraying application knowledge. Ideally educated to minimum HNC/HND with minimum 5 years experience of working in a paint shop.
- Lead introduction of new projects, this would involve working with paint suppliers to specify the correct paints to meet customer requirements. Produce samples and help set up production processes.
- Lead specification of new spray equipment and developing current processes.
- Lead the continuous improvement projects through knowledge of paint application.
A rapidly expanding company and this role could lead to career progression into Operations and General Management. We are looking for someone who is intelligent and dynamic and can bring expertise and process engineering skill sets to the business.
£35-45k commensurate on experience.
