You be will a graduate with a 2:1 or above degree who is passionate about education with previous experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting, but not necessarily in a school. The ideal candidate will have the ability to meet the social, academic and emotional needs of a diverse group of children. You should have excellent communication skills and have genuine aspirations to become a Primary School Teacher.

About the role - Primary Teaching Assistant – Sandwell

You will be allocated to a specific year group to spend the majority of your time with. You will assist the class teacher in the management of the classroom. In addition to this you will play a key role in providing booster sessions and 1:1 interventions for those pupils who are struggling with literacy and numeracy. This exciting new role is an excellent opportunity if you have missed out on a PGCE this year, and want to utilise your experience before quickly progressing on to be a primary school teacher!
