Teaching Assistant – Behaviour – Sandwell - About the role / Person specification

This role requires you to have gained a minimum of a 2:1 degree in Psychology, ideally this will be from a Russell Group University. Furthermore, you must have undertaken some form of work experience working with children, this doesn’t necessarily have to be in an educational context. This role requires a graduate who has high levels of resilience as you will be working with children who display challenging behaviours. The job role consists of behaviour management, numeracy/literacy support, pastoral care and delivering a range of activities to students. Therefore, you must be an excellent communicator and have confidence in your abilities. There will be opportunity to grow and develop, with training and guidance offered by the school’s SENCO and lead inclusion practitioner. The school has worked with graduates in the past who have all undertaken various roles dependent upon the schools specific needs at that particular time, therefore the school is keen to work with another graduate to help them gain the required experience to move on to the next stage of their career.
