Leicester Animal Aid (LAA) is an animal rescue and re-homing centre for domestic dogs and cats in Leicestershire. Established in 1956 we occupy a 4.5 acre site in Huncote and re-home approximately 500 animals each year. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraiser, working from 12th November 2018 until December 2019, with an interest in animal welfare who can maintain a successful and sustainable income strategy. The ideal candidate will be an innovative fundraiser with a knowledge of the products deployed by charities in securing individual and corporate support including community fundraising and personal giving with an excellent understanding of donor and supporter marketing. The Fundraising Manager is supported by our part-time Fundraising Assistant. Key responsibilities to include: Managing specific projects, initiatives and third party events Trust and grant applications Website management and social media platforms Sponsorship and membership schemes PR, marketing and media and community relations Event management Merchandising Donor campaigns and stewardship Legacy fundraising Newsletter editor Represent LAA publicly including business and community groups, networking opportunities, talks and tours and cheque presentations. Person specification to include: A track record of achieving fundraising growth and delivering income Adaptable, creative and innovative Excellent communication skills and good command of the English language Proficient multitasker Self motivated Team player Project management skills Experience of organising, planning, budgeting and managing multiple fundraising projects Experience of working with, recruiting and managing volunteers Good business acumen Ability to work to deadlines Ability to achieve targets Computer literate
