The Seals & Bearings business of Morgan Advanced Materials specialises in the development and manufacturing of seals and bearings from a portfolio of materials including; carbon, graphite and silicon carbide
The Toolmaker role is based at our Stourport site and reports to the Site Services Team Leader.
The shift is Monday until Thursday, 7am to 4.30pm
In this role you will be responsible for providing tooling for different types and sizes of machinery on site.
Key responsibilities include:
Servicing and repairing tooling (strip down, clean, lubricate and rebuild)
Supporting new project tooling from commissioning stages through to start of production
Manufacturing new tooling and ancillary spares
Ensuring company targets are met in respect of quality of parts produced
Successful applicants will have the following qualifications/ experience:
Apprenticeship or equivalent in an engineering discipline
Machining to less than +-20 microns manually
Working to engineering drawings
Be confident and experienced in working with;
welding / brazing / silver soldering
EDM on Agie compact 1
WEDM Agie Circa 1985
Knowledge of ceramic powder compaction tooling
pepswire / spark eroders
