Position: Information Worker
Contract type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 35 per week
Salary: GBP18,611 per annum

About the role:
As our Community Engagement and Development Worker you will be taking on an exciting new role within Coventry.
Your aim will be to work with the public and partners to increase their understanding of dementia and local / national support as well as to encourage and support local groups and business to create new resources.
You will take the lead on delivering information sessions and having a presence at key community events. You will also be responsible for ensuring that a wide range of information and resources are up date and accessible to the public.
You will work closely with the team to develop and maintain relationships with statutory and voluntary partners and be a key person in continuing to develop our work with under-represented groups.
This role will include identifying opportunities to both encourage and support new community or business based resources to form and grow so that people affected by dementia have wider opportunities within Coventry.
We are looking for an individual who possesses NVQ level 3 (or equivalent). You will need to have an understanding of dementia and the needs of people affected by dementia.
You will be able to tailor your use of effective communication skills to your audience. You will be able to actively seek opportunities to raise awareness and build relationships with the public, local communities and partners.
You will have good organisational skills and will be able to demonstrate the activity and impact of your role
