Unique role for someone who has client facing Infor SCE (essential) supply chain and WMS software implementation experience and is looking to move into a Pre-Sales position in a software consultancy. As a Pre-Sales Consultant, you work closely alongside a sales team as the subject matter expert, attending meetings, capturing the clients' requirements, putting together business cases, demonstrating the software, and ensuring the software product can deliver to the customers' requirements. Starting salary to GBP50k + GBP6k car allowance and bonus; home based position anywhere in the UK, with travel to client sites.

This software company are one of the biggest logistics software consulting firms in the UK with about 50 consultants. They are also an Infor partner, and they have secured the rights to sell the Infor SCE supply chain and WMS solution in the UK. The other major Infor SCE partner at the moment is based in Lebanon.

Infor SCE is a rock solid WMS and Logistics solution that is installed all over the world at large logistics, transport and supply chain companies. To help get the solution team running in the UK, they are looking to hire a client facing Consultant or Analyst or Systems Manager with experience of Infor SCE who is happy talking to customers, doing presentations and explaining what the SCE solution can do for them.

The job would suit someone who has worked on the implementation of the Infor SCE solution at an end user site and is looking for a move into software consultancy and pre-sales, or is already in a similar role to this.

You will work with their sales team and be heavily involved in understanding the needs of the client, and doing the discovery and requirements so that you can understand how the Infor SCE WMS solution can benefit the client, or not in some cases!

Your role will also involve replying to customers when they make requests for information, doing the business analysis side of proposals and translating the clients' requirements into systems capability. A Pre-Sales role is vital in a software company as the requirements of each customer are unique, and the product is customised to suit each one.

Their main office is near Manchester in the North West of England, plus they have an office in the Midlands and one in London. Their staff are mainly home based with visits to one of the offices where required and travel to client sites. So your location really doesn't matter. You must be happy to travel though.

They can only consider people who have strong Infor SCE WMS & Supply Chain hands-on software implementation experience, as no one else in the company has technical expertise in this Infor product. You may have gained this experience as an Infor WMS Consultant or Systems Manager at an end user or as a Business Analyst at an end user implementing Infor SCE or with the vendor. You also have to have the right personality to sit in front of clients and discuss their needs, and the confidence to present software demonstrations to them.
