Purchase Ledger Clerk / Accounts Assistant: An experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk / Accounts Assistant is required on a part-time basis to maintain accounting records for a commercial printing company based in Tamworth that prides itself on providing excellent customer service and a supportive working environment.

Reporting to the Finance Director the Purchase Ledger Clerk / Accounts Assistant, who will have hands-on experience of Sage 50 accountancy software, will join an established print company with 120 employees, specialising in graphic design, printing (large format, digital and litho), finishing, direct mail and fulfilment.

This is a 9-12 month contract to cover maternity leave, working part time Monday to Thursday.

Responsibilities:
* Match approved PO's with delivery notes and invoices and goods receipting
* Input purchase invoices on system, ensure all purchase ledger
accounts are up to date
* Investigate invoice discrepancies and raise queries as appropriate
* Reconcile supplier statements on a monthly basis and obtain copy
invoices
* Import data into Sage 50 from production system
* Maintenance of supplier rebates database
* Debt collection for a number of customers including resolving
issues
* Payroll duties to include time attendance recording from
timekeeping system, update attendance records and new
employee setup
* Filing

Skills & Experience:
* Previous experience of working in the purchase ledger function
(essential)
* Experience of handling difficult situations with suppliers and the
ability to maintain relationships
* Ability to problem solve and prioritise workload
* Knowledge of Sage 50
* MS Office including Excel
* Good spreadsheet skills
* Attention to detail
* Good analysis skills
* Team Player
