Babcock is recruiting for an experienced Virtual School PEP
Coordinator. The purpose of the role is to work with schools and
professionals to ensure the quality and compliance of Personal
Education Plans for Looked after Children raises the attainment and

Top Major Tasks and Activities:

* Leading on the effectiveness of Personal Education Plans to raise

* Advice for schools in the identification of appropriate targets
with clear and measurable outcomes

* Engage with appropriate stakeholders to achieve quality, timely
and value for money Personal Education Plans

* Working closely with social work teams to ensure support is well
co-ordinated, with actions completed and recorded

* Provision of up to date information about individual learners, as
it is required by the Virtual School Education Co-ordinator and
the Virtual School Headteacher

Key Technical Skills

* A sound knowledge of educational progress and attainment

* Excellent knowledge of social care legislation with regard to
looked after children

* An understanding of the barriers and issues that impact on the
education of looked after children

* Effective management of records within Framework ensuring that
information that relates to PEPs is accurate and recorded
appropriately within the case file


* Educated to a good standard of education, minimum of GCSE (or
equivalent) Maths & English at C grade or above.

* Other qualifications relevant to role
