Job Purpose The Salesforce Developer/Admin is responsible for the day to daysupport of the Salesforce users and environment and the ongoingenhancement through the delivery of small changes and in support ofprojects. This requires working with third parties who deliver largerSalesforce changes, and various business units who are users ofSalesforce, as well as with Salesforce itself. Salesforce is currently used by the Cycle2Work and Customer Servicesteams (Retail and HAC) and this role will support these business unitsand any others that take up Salesforce in future. Key Responsibilities Be the Salesforce subject matter expert supporting Halfords andinputting to the Salesforce strategy Leverage Salesforce Premier Support to reduce overhead and improvesales processes Provide standard Salesforce admin duties including setting up new usersand deactivating leavers Support Salesforce users though the handling and resolution of cases,as third line support for any Salesforce issues Work with the IT team to help understand and prioritise enhancement requests. Drive the continuous improvement and automation of the sales process,including automation of existing data feeds to the Salesforce environment Review enhancement requests and work with other members of the IT teamto define changes to the Salesforce platform and related processes. Development of Salesforce platform to meet change and project related requirements Review and update Salesforce code management practices including use ofcode versioning and automated publishing tools Participate in design and architecture with technical teams across Halfords Key Skills/Experience Significant knowledge and proven experience in the following iscritical to the success in the role: Experience in system administration and/or development, preferably in aSalesforce environment, or in a similar system. Good knowledge of the concept of cloud based Software As A Service environments Experience managing and implementing code across technical environments Basic working knowledge of Salesforce APIs, and SOAP or REST based web services Basic Working knowledge of Visualforce and Apex Experience of working with 3rd party development teams Experience of change/release processes for code development Good understanding of Waterfall and Agile working practices Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently Desirable to have experience in Sales Cloud and Service Cloud including Communities Attention to detail Good communication skills Issue identification, problem solving and analysis Planning and implementation - provided by Dice AGILE, APEX, CLOUD, SALESFORCE, SOAP
