About the role

Lead for all communications associated with the Herefordshire Public Realm Contract facilitating a one team culture around proactive and reactive communications. Enhance and protect the reputation of Balfour Beatty and our client Herefordshire Council through the delivery of an effective internal and external communications strategy and tactical communication plans. Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with key stakeholders and act as a trusted adviser on all communication matters. Responsible for delivering a best practice service that ensures customer and colleague advocacy, adds value, embedding a 'customer-led' communication approach whilst supporting delivery of agreed KPI's

This is an excellent opportunity for an already established Communications Manager or an Executive looking for the next step in their career.

About you

You will have excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to present and have good interpersonal skills, extensive community relations and stakeholder management experience.

You will need a good understanding of media and use of social media with the ability to react to peaks and troughs in workload and access resource accordingly.

You will have excellent planning and organisational skills with ability to manage conflicting deadlines, be a team player with ability to influence and negotiate at all levels and the desire to develop, add value and is motivated to achieving targets.

You will work with a flexible attitude and willingness to travel to multiple site locations, proactively building your knowledge through sharing ideas and expertise with others and adapts positively to changing business and customer demands.
