Job Overview: On behalf of our client, a successful Injection Moulding
Manufacturer, we are looking to recruit an experienced Project
Engineer (EXPIRES 13/08/18)

General Summary: Successful candidates for the role of Project
Engineer will have previous experience working in an injection
moulding manufacturing environment as well as previous experience as a
Project Engineer. It is preferred that candidates have a Degree in an
engineering discipline.

Reporting to the Special Operations Manager the purpose of the Project
Engineer position is to be the technical point of contact for Special
Operations throughout all phase of orders, projects and programs. You
will be required to represent special operations in inner and cross
departments projects and communicate effects on the department to
management. The successful candidate must have previous experience
with process automation within a manufacturing environment, experience
with project management tools as well as have strong communications
skills both written and verbal.

This Project Engineer opportunity is for a candidate seeking to work
in an expanding global manufacturer who put their people at the
forefront of their thinking.

Responsibilities:

* Create quotes utilising proprietary software in coordination with
external suppliers and non-standard operations

* Represent special operations in inner and cross department
projects. Communicate effects on the department to management and
provide options for how to proceed.

* Decipher 3D CAD files and engineering drawings, including GD&T.

* Supply various levels of support to internal operations including,
but not limited to metrology labs and order entry

* Develop project charters and work with technical operations and
business stakeholders to define requirements, determine staff
needs and commitments, timelines, dependencies, success criteria,
and deployment steps for projects of varying scope and function.

* Develop processes and work instructions for non-standard
operations in preparation for transfer to full production

* Support governance guild lines with consistency

* Manage requirements and scope change as the business evolves.

* Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and
management and perform post-project assessments.

* Recommend process improvements to achieve higher levels of success
for delivering quality results on predictable timelines to meet
overall business objectives.

* Continue to refine software and manufacturing knowledge by quoting
& designing, in order to effectively manage technical projects.

* Approve quotes, designs, and manufacturing approaches; provide
feedback and solutions as pertains to technical projects on an as
needed basis.

* This is a hands on position that includes a varying mix of direct
customer interaction, technical offices duties, and hands on value
added operations to parts orders including, but not limited to
inspection, trimming, and assembly.

* Adhere to all quality and safety standards within the department.

* Maintain clean and organised work area with emphasis on safety,
quality, efficiency, and utilization.

* Continually seek to improve work processes and individual
performance.

* Adhere to all company policies and operational procedures.

* Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Experience:

2+ years of experience working in technical manufacturing environment

Decisive and prone to action

Strong work ethic and self-motivated

Attention to detail, e.g. inspecting and trimming parts, completing
inspection reports

Quality and customer focused

Knowledge of principles, practices and procedures to the completion of
difficult technical problems and projects

Creative and innovative

Demonstrated history to learn and apply periphery processes

Experience with project management tools (e.g. Gantt and PERT charts,
CPM)

Experience with process automation in a manufacturing environment

Outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills

Strong work ethic and self-motivated

Strong communication skills both verbal and written; experience with
technical presentations to a diverse audience

Ability to interact with many types of individuals including:
developers, engineers, executives, manufacturing personnel, and other
business professionals.

Demonstrated history of staying current in field of expertise

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; BSME, BSSE, BSEE preferred
