Location: Burton on Trent, East Midlands
Permanent Role
Salary: up to GBP20,000pa depending on experience
My client is currently recruiting for a Graduate / Trainee Technical Engineer to join their technical department on a permanent basis.

The Role:
•Providing technical support both to customers, suppliers and fellow colleagues.
•Providing Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA) and control of NDA data and documentation
•Stock card creation on the in-house MRP computer system
•Batch processing within the MRP System
•Generate and maintain Bills of Material and Spare Parts Listings
•Change Note creation, issue and distribution.
•Technical document approval and control
•PDM, MRP & FTP understanding and use.
•Allocation of Vehicle Identification Numbers (VIN) and VIN data retention
•Work Instructions creation, review and amendment
•Produce information in the form of drawings and specifications which allows the contracts, projects and production departments to perform their functions efficiently.
•Support the sales team with proposals and tendering process, as necessary.
•Assist in the development of engineering design.
•Assist with the development of custom design software and techniques.
•Contribute to the continuing effort to reduce costs.
•Produce information to safely meet client and in house deadlines and to advise early of any anticipated delays.
•Support all the activities within the technical department to implement and achieve company's policies and goals.
•Ensure all relevant company procedures and policies are adhered to in the performance of the above duties.

The Candidate:
•Eligibility to work in the UK, no sponsorship is provided.
•Degree in a recognised Engineering or Physics discipline. Will also consider a non-Graduate with relevant design and manufacturing experience.
•Knowledge of 2D,3D and solid modelling software and competence in MS Windows and MS Office
•Desire to play a part in department development and performance.
•Hold a valid driving licence - must be able to travel to customer and supplier premises if required.
•Knowledge of Solid Edge
•An understanding of engineering drawing principles
•Ability to assist in Project Management
•At least 2 years' working in a mechanical engineering environment
•Previous drafting/design experience.
•Demonstrable transferable skills.
•A team player
•Outgoing, amenable, confident and able to communicate at all levels
•Good communication skills, ability to work in a team
