My client is one of the largest and most successful registered social housing providers in the Midlands. With a turnover of over GBP110m, they own and manage in excess of 27,500 homes in the Midlands and employ over 900 staff. across several locations.

They are currently recruiting for a temporary Repairs Planner to join the team based in Coventry.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the effective deployment of a wide variety of repairs and maintenance Operatives. This will involve controlling workflows, prioritising jobs, and directing appropriate skilled Operatives to appointed visits in tenanted properties. You will also facilitate queries from both internal and external customers. Preferably, you will have an understanding of reactive repairs scheduling and a sound knowledge of DRS and be able to corroborate your experience to match the requirements for this role.

The successful candidate will be part of the support team, proactive and multi tasking in your approach you will work with colleagues to ensure the complex management of the Scheduling diary to include controlling workflows and prioritising jobs. Where priorities change then Operatives will be redeployed accordingly.

This will require the post holder to be flexible and able to respond to change within the scope of his/her role as the business continuously develops.

A good level of IT literacy including experience of using a variety of computer packages such as databases, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is essential.
