Rugby High School is a successful 11-18 school with 835 students on roll.

We are delighted to offer this exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join us in this newly formed position of Duke of Edinburgh Award Administrator.

The successful candidate will need to be well organised and proactive. You will be an effective communicator with good leadership skills and a sense of humour! You will need to have a full UK driving licence and ideally have mini bus driving training and first aid training (or a willingness to undertake them). Experience of working with young people and being involved in outdoor education is desirable.

The position will involve organising the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme (Bronze, Silver and Gold), including negotiating with First for Adventure (who provide instructors and assessors for the expedition elements). You will also be expected to promote the Duke of Edinburgh schemes to students in Years 9, 10 and 12 and their parents and will be expected to accompany the D of E expeditions. Due to the nature of this role, whilst some expeditions run in the holidays, others will be in term time and may run over a weekend.

In addition to completing all the normal paper work associated with the award, the administrator will also negotiate and liaise with the external provider and arrange staffing for the expeditions and transport. The successful candidate will receive a strong and varied induction along with the support of an experienced team
