Measurlink Statistical Process Control Specialist

Hours
** 8:30am to 5pm.
** Flexibility essential.

Salary
** Competitive, Negotiable and depending on experience.
** Sales Commission Scheme - OTE following an induction period and entry into the sales reward
scheme should amount to an excellent increase in gross p/a

We have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and talented individual, to join a world leading manufacturer of precision measuring equipment.

Due to continued growth and long term plans for the future, they are now looking to appoint an experienced MeasurLink SPC Specialist.

THE ROLE

To work in conjunction with the MeasurLink SPC Manager, Product Technical Specialist and Regional
Sales team to seek, procure and support orders for the MeasurLink SPC software suite; related
software and associated products.

A multi???tasking role requiring a well organised person with excellent communication skills (written &
verbal), a high and current technical knowledge gained preferably within an engineering
metrology/quality environment and an aptitude for selling a World leading software designed to
provide customers with the best statistical software solution and productivity advantages.

This role involves establishing requirements, quotation and delivery/installation.

This role is within a sales team and although given specific responsibilities and core duties it may
prove necessary at times to support others with training or assistance as and when needs demand.

It is expected that skills specific to the company's field of expertise already exist and can be demonstrated.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors Degree or Diploma (HNC/HND) in Engineering or a related Technical field.
Engineering Apprenticeship or similar experience

ESSENTIAL WORK EXPERIENCE

Experience of working within a Sales Role
Experience with metrology equipment.
Demonstrated ability to analyse and present data.
Must have the ability to demonstrate Word Processing, Database and Spreadsheet PC skills.
Excellent communication skills and ability to summarise customer requirements into easily understood reports.
Ability to interact comfortably at all levels within the organisation and during customer visits.
Excellent organisation skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE

Working knowledge of basic Quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, Root Cause Analysis, Six Sigma,
Kaizen Lean Manufacturing.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

Assertiveness and excellent communication skills (written & verbal) with both customers and colleagues.
Ability to lead and manage projects across multiple customers.
Proven ability to work on own initiative and manage own tasks, meeting deadlines and to work within a
team.
Excellent organisation skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

ESSENTIAL ORGANISATIONAL REQUIRMENTS

Full, clean driving licence
Business travel within the UK is required on a regular basis
Flexibility to work extra hours as required
Flexibility to assist in other roles as and when needed.
Professional attitude towards customers and colleagues.
Of smart and tidy appearance, smart business attire as standard. Casual/radical clothing is not acceptable
nor are piercings, or visible tattoos.

THE ROLE IN DETAIL

To cover the UK mainland Southern Region and occasionally Eire as defined by postcodes and to utilise both the Coventry and Andover showroom facilities to suit customer convenience.
Sale of MeasurLink SPC software and associated hardware products including USB/RS232 multiplexers, U???Wave wireless devices etc.
Support existing customer base to better utilise the software to drive process improvement, which in turn reduces scrap, minimises lost time and improves profitability.
Deploy MeasurLink SPC software on customer clients and servers utilising Windows 7 and Windows 10 operating systems. Installation also includes the configuration of SQL databases, connection to the company's capital equipment and connection to 3rd party machines and equipment.
Deliver onsite support to customer on their premises tailored to their business and parts manufactured.
To work with and utilise the specific skill sets of other colleagues as, when and where required to support Sales or customer requirements.
To maintain currency of knowledge in measurement techniques and best practice.
Achieve Sales targets (set by Company management). Targets are normally reviewed annually.
Represent the Company in a professional manner at all times including smart business attire and all aspects of personal presentation and hygiene.
To maintain record of activity using the Company CRM system ensuring validity of Opportunities, forecasting, contacts etc. To work in partnership with Regional Technical Sales Engineers and an Internal Support desk to maximise opportunity potential.
To maintain knowledge of competitor products/methodologies to enable the promotion of MUK alternatives where ever possible and articulate in a constructive and positive manner.
