ASSISTANT PASTORAL MANAGER
GRADE: 22 - 25
Part-time 20 hours per week (term time only plus one week)

Rugby High School is a successful 11-18 school with 835 students on roll.
Our pastoral team is an extremely important part of the school. We are delighted to offer the opportunity for an Assistant Pastoral Manager to join us from September 2018. This is a newly created post to help address the increasing demand for pastoral support services within the school and to help manage a larger than usual Year 7 entry in 2018.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for the well-being and academic progress of students in Year 7 and will assist the Pastoral Manager and the Assistant Headteacher in promoting well-being and progress of students across KS3 and KS4.
Year 7 is a key year for students as they meet the very different demands of secondary schooling and also forge new friendships; a core purpose of this position is to ensure that the emotional needs of Year 7 students are met and that they settle in well in their new school environment.
The successful candidate will be educated to A level or equivalent and will have experience of working with young people; experience working within a school environment is desirable. Common sense, a focus on positive solutions and a good rapport with young people and their parents are key requirements for this post.
