Overview of the role:

Reporting in to Group Electrical and Electronic Engineering, the successful candidate will join a highly focussed and passionate team leading the delivery of electrical and electronic engineering across the business.

The role is within the Compliance team which has responsibility to ensure that all new Product programmes meet the required Electrical and Electronic technical deliverables by the associated gateways. Hence the role requires technical knowledge, project delivery process understanding and the ability to work with diverse teams to ensure delivery.

General Compliance Duties:

Senior Compliance Engineer - reviewing Electrical +Electronic content of all New Project Introduction Process projects against the deliverables to ensure robust delivery.

Will need to work closely with business units regarding Electrical and Electronic deliverables and Functional safety deliverables to support the process.

Keep status trackers up to date, showing current status of all responsible projects.

Work with, and coach, the engineering teams who are responsible for delivering the required project deliverables around the UK and globe.
Facilitate the engineering teams to ensure efficient and robust delivery to complex E+E systems.

Running workshops, reviews as required, driving projects forward and collecting the required evidence.

Identifying project technical and timing risks and potential mitigations.

Drive re-use of components and approaches.

Help develop our NPIP and TR process to drive more efficient delivery, seamless reporting and reducing issues and change.

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

Background in delivering complex electrical and electronic systems to tight deadlines.
*

Experience taking complex systems from concept through to delivery.
*

Understanding of functional safety and risk assessments.
*

Experience of project management and deliverables based delivery processes.
*

Experience of systems engineering and the systems V.
*

Qualified to degree level in a relevant technology discipline
*

Clear experience in delivering process changes

Desired:

Project delivery management experience and training.

Understanding of quality systems and processes.

Understanding of functional safety and risk assessments.

Experience with ISO13849, ISO26262
*

Sound IT skills to help reporting and metric creation.
