Robert Half Finance and Accounting are currently recruiting for a Financial Controller to lead the UK Finance Division of an expanding European FMCG business. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter interested in setting up the team from scratch here in the region.
Reporting in to the UK Managing Director, the successful candidate will act as number one in finance for all UK operations, including warehousing, distribution and sales on a national basis. You will work closely with the European Financial Controller in order to ensure accurate financial reporting and continuous improvement within the division.
This is a hands on position which will initially be a standalone role, therefore those wishing to apply must be willing to roll up their sleeves and take ownership of the full finance function, including some transactional accounting.
Candidates wishing to apply for this role should ideally be qualified (QBEs will be considered), with experience working within an SME environment. You will be confident setting up the UK finance function from scratch, with a view to hiring and training a small team over the first 12 months.
The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate a breadth of experience covering management accounts, statutory reporting, basic tax computations and financial analysis.
Our client is an international leader in their field, with expanding operations in the UK. They are now looking to set up a permanent finance function in the Tamworth area.
Salary & Benefits
A salary of £50,000 - £60,000 is offered + pension + bonus. 25 days annual leave + b/hs
