Spada Motorcycle Clothing is looking for an experienced Technical Clothing Advisor. You will be based in West Midlands, but with occasional overseas travel to suppliers.

You will be responsible for ensuring that the brand produces the best quality product, which complies with the new PPE regulations 17092.


Fully understand the new legislation and transition process to ensure that the company is meeting the certification requirements.Produce technical documents required for certification of all new garments.Manage targets and deadlines to ensure company critical dates are met.Recording of all samples, including sealed final samples.Prepare and deliver accurate and comprehensive specification sheets for each garment.Manage weekly update meetings to report progress to the Directors.Review competitor brands in our market to ensure we are achieving the best possible product for fit and quality.Oversee the Quality Control processes to minimise rejects and keep a consistent level of quality.Work closely with the Designer and Purchasing Director to take designs through sampling to the final product. Ensure appropriate testing is carried out on new products/ trims/fabrics so they are fit for the market they are entering.Review pre-production samples to ensure they are fit for production. Work closely with suppliers on any problem styles which could affect delivery.Identify potential new suppliers and emerging markets.Implement economies of scale for common parts and materials across suppliers.Profile

Experience of working directly with suppliers in the Far East and Europe required.A background in working to PPE clothing legislation is essential.A background in motorcycle clothing is desirable.Excellent attention to detail at all times.Able to effectively communicate with managers, suppliers and team members.An awareness and understanding of cultural diversity to facilitate productive communication and relationships with all contacts.Able to manage and motivate themselves.Super organised with excellent time management skills to ensure company deadlines are prioritised, monitored and met.Computer literacy.Ability to travel overseas occasionally as part of the role.
