I am currently recruting for a PR & Communications Executive, to join a fantastic Non for Profit organisation in the Coventry area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning, developing and implementing PR activities alongside the PR & Communications Manager including:
  • Management and coordination of the organisations Communication Volunteers ( no prior experience necessary and full training will be provided)
  • Liaising with key spokespeople, journalists and stakeholders
  • Liaising with the media and answering enquiries
  • Working with the PR & Communications Manager to coordinate and manage crisis communications activities, including out of hours where appropriate. This will include covering the out of hours press office to cover holidays
  • Attend events where appropriate
  • Assisting the wider Marketing and Communications team with ad -hoc duties as and when necessary in any task required
  • Liaise with relevant agencies and key suppliers
  • Build trust, communicate effectively, foster innovation, focus on delivery to customers, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity
  • Writing, editing and distribution of PR content (releases, imagery, coverage, links, and social) across relevant channels.
  • Coordination and preparation of PR & Communication materials e.g. briefing spokespeople, internal briefings, media Q&A's, statements etc.

Ideal Candidate Experience:

  • Education to Degree level or similar(CIPR)
  • Experience within a PR environment is essential
  • Two to three years' experience in a PR role with a passion for PR and willing to learn
  • Excellent copy writing skills and the ability to write copy for a variety of PR channels and audiences
  • Excellent attention to detail and proof reading skills
  • Strong execution skills - able to juggle a demanding and varied workload, working to tight deadlines under pressure
  • Creative flair
  • Strong stakeholder management - articulate and personable with good interpersonal skills and the ability to influence at all levels
  • Enthusiasm, initiative and commitment to drive the process through
  • Excellent team work skills - happy to be part of a large marketing and communications team/small PR team of three
  • Desirable to have knowledge of social media to help generate content if required at events or for specific occasions
  • Strong IT skills across all the core MS office products
  • Full UK driving licence required
