Support Technician - Live Events / Concerts

We are seeking a tech savvy Trainee Support Technician to join a Live Event supplier who specialises in insurance backed weighing services for Event and Touring Productions. With full training on offer, this is a fantastic opportunity to travel the world with huge touring acts and kick-start your career as a trainee Rental Technician / Production Equipment Coordinator / Support Technician.

This is a full time role that will require evening & weekend work as per the demands of each production. It is also subject to a 6 month probationary period.

Operating mainly in the entertainment industry and working with the largest and most influential live acts, Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake, Sam Smith and Jay Z (to name a few) this innovative firm is truly leading the way in offering load cell equipment hire and a weight reporting services. Due to unprecedented growth they are now seeking a Rental Technician / Production Equipment Coordinator / Hire Equipment Technician, who has superb attention to detail, to become an integral member of the team.

The successful Rental Technician / Production Equipment Coordinator will utilise their excellent communications skills (verbal & written) to ensure a fantastic service to clients. On a day-to-day basis expect to ensure equipment is maintained, update equipment stock records, dispatch equipment to customers, attend venues, complete weight reports, occasionally update social media channels, spot new opportunities and anything else necessary to help the company succeed in exciting projects planned for 2018/19.

Due to the nature of the role you will need to have a valid passport, a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

To qualify… We are seeking a tech savvy, customer focused candidate who can demonstrate:

  • • Solid Communication skills (written and spoken);
  • • Good numeracy skills;
  • • A flexible and proactive approach to work;
  • • The ability to work unsupervised,
  • • A good level of fitness;
  • • The ability to travel throughout the world, sometimes at short notice.

Any exposure to or knowledge of Electrics, Health & Safety, manual handling would be a bonus as would a category B driving licence entitlement (vans) - Not Essential.
