Hamlin Knight are currently recruiting for a Compensation and Benefits Specialist for a public sector organisation based in Coventry on a 2 year contract.

The main purpose of the Compensation and Benefits Specialist is to support the Head of Employment Policy and Practice in the formulations of compensation and benefits long term strategies and policies.

Duties:
Work closely with the Head of Employment Policy & Practice and leadership team to develop and implement a new Pay and Reward Strategy
Work collaboratively and proactively with a range of HR professionals and Senior Management, Partners and HR service users to capture, critically evaluate and improve reward and recognition policies and processes, responding appropriately to customer feedback. Explore performance related pay benchmarking within local authorities as required.
Develop, align and streamline pay and reward policies and procedures, which are supportive of business need and underpinned by appropriate governance and reporting
Develop appropriate manage and employee communication and guidance, relevant to pay and reward policies and processes, to ensure consistency of understanding and application
Ensure the HR systems and analytics are aligned/developed to meet the needs to pay and remuneration requirements.
Undertaking of additional HR activity and projects as necessary
Educate managers to understand the organisations pay and reward services
Reduce time spent of transactional admin processes and improvement in HR service
Develop a consistent compensation philosophy in line with work culture and organisational objectives, to attract, engage and retain staff.
Conduct ongoing research into emerging trends, issues and best practices.
Conduct periodic audits and prepare reports

The successful candidate will have previous experience of creating and implementing HR and Reward Policies and managing the changes, excellent relationship and project management skills and be IT literate with HR systems and MS packages including Excel.
