We have an exciting vacancy within our growing Supply Chain team in Halesowen for an Assistant Inventory Specialist. The Assistant Inventory Specialist position is a developmental opportunity for a bright individual with an interest in learning all aspects of the Supply Chain process within a fast-paced distribution business. As the Assistant Inventory Specialist, you will be responsible for a dedicated range of items stocked at our Halesowen site ensuring optimum stocking levels in line with company targets whilst achieving high levels of availability.

Key responsibilities:

Raising of stock purchase orders in line with system recommendationsOrder book management to ensure good accuracy of delivery datesExpediting customer orders, stock outs and potential stock outsManaging stock outs, following ABC pareto prioritisationRequesting and executing returns to suppliersDe-expediting purchase orders where stock requirement has changedOwnership and resolution of delivery discrepanciesUpdating acknowledgements onto the systemResolving invoice queriesThe ideal candidate will:

Have GCSE'S A - C gradeBe educated to A Level Standard or equivalentBe highly motivated with a flexible and proactive attitude with a desire to learn and take on responsibilityHave good communication skills, both verbal and writtenGood Microsoft Office skills
