My client, a leading name in the Automotive world, are a multi disciplinary Engineering company designing, developing and manufacturing top end race car components and special-purpose vehicles for their customers (many of whom are among the top names in motor racing).

Embedded Software Engineer:

Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you will have proven experience designing and developing software for high performance embedded systems.

Job Description:

Develop embedded software for 8/16/32-bit microcontrollers whilst keeping high integrity design and automotive engineering standards in mind. You'll be interpreting system requirements alongside the design team and develop and implement solutions developed in C / C++ / Assembly language. Being a multi disciplinary team, you'll also be involved with generating and executing test plans and reports, integration and verification / validation as required.

Job requirements:
Degree-qualified in electronic / Software Engineering or equivalent
Experience within an embedded system product development environment
Excellent programming skills in C/C++ (and possibly assembly language too!)
Software development experience for microcontrollers
Embedded Linux / Windows development experience

Bonus points for any additional experience with the following!

Mathworks Simulink & Stateflow
dSpace TargetLink
CAN based test tools
Basic understanding of electronics hardware
Good test and analysis skills
