With a team of 18 engineers which combine a unique set of skills to deliver a one stop shop for controls system care and support around the clock, they have become one of the most forward thinking of automation service and integration companies.

Position Overview:
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the software delivery of Automation Projects utilising an innovative and proactive approach to lifetime system care. They are seeking talented and experienced automation engineers with a background in projects design and commissioning. Typically, you will be responsible for providing front line system design for a wide range of industry sectors. The position involves system design, problem solving, modifying and specifying end client control systems to exacting standards and timescales.

The below list is not intended to be a minimum requirement but applicants who can demonstrate skills in most areas will be at an advantage.

Day-to-Day Activities will include:
Leading the software development on one or more projects on any number of system platforms in a range of industries and system processes.
Creating and implementing procedures for software development and software release
Design, documentation, programming, testing, site installation, commissioning of PLC Control/Drive systems and on-going system support
Customer support
In-house training to extend skills
Mentoring the junior engineers
Continuous improvement processes
Assisting with tender quotations

Requirements
10 years+ of experience in the integration of control and automation systems
Working on a project from conception through design, test, commissioning to final delivery
Experience of producing documentation (e.g. FDS, Test Specifications) and working to time-scales
Disciplined and self-motivated
Willing to accept responsibility and make key decisions
Excellent people skills at all levels of service and customer relations
Control Systems:
oConfident ability to handle the latest control & automation products and systems.
oIn-depth knowledge using one or more of the main PLC/HMI systems - Siemens, Allen Bradley or Mitsubishi
oAbility to understand and create control system schematics and architecture layouts.
oGood understanding of communication networks - e.g. Ethernet, Profinet, Profibus, Devicenet, ASi, Modbus
oProgramming, testing and commissioning of PLC and HMI Software.
oConfiguration, testing and commissioning of drives in a wide range of applications.
oUnderstanding and ability to configure SCADA systems, WinCC, Intouch, etc.
oElectrical understanding of the control system and how the system components interact. Ability to follow electrical schematics.
Awareness of current factory safety practice and procedures.
