Senior Project Manager/Scrum Master

We are looking for an experienced technology Senior Project Manager/Scrum Master with a wealth of experience in end to end project delivery (ideally projects of GBP3M and above) or agile delivery, not fully agile yet???.. But we want to get there. You will have the opportunity to support a number of complex and high profile initiatives, making sure the business outcomes are delivered effectively with a budget. You will be responsible for shaping the delivery method and delivering on the initiatives you are involved in which are vital in achieving the strategic objectives of Severn Trent. We will also expect you to coach & mentor our more junior members and be key to driving improvements. You will be working to achieve key outcomes for the business. Leading Technology is a key attribute of this role both internal to Technology and out to all areas of Severn Trent. If successful you will work within one of the delivery portfolios in Customer Delivery - Technology, the team itself is very passionate about the critical service they provide, but with time you will soon come to learn that, here at Severn Trent we all care very deeply and this shines through our culture.
As a Senior Project Manager/Scrum Master, your key skills and competencies will include:
* Ability to provide strong leadership of teams, which may include members from a variety of IS/IT and business functions and third-party suppliers, especially in a challenging and fast changing environment * Ability to autonomously manage own work load over number work streams and fast paced projects * Executive level presence and exposure to senior leadership and board members * Strong networking skills and the ability to leverage relationships to deliver on time and within budget * Ability to manage and mitigate/resolve risks and issues by understanding current status and having clear plans of action. You will also be able to effectively utilise escalation mechanisms You will own project planning and control the delivery, implementation and budget for one or more projects. Control includes the management of project risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies and the co-ordination of project work streams.

Essential * Extensive experience of working at a senior level * Ability to demonstrate a proven track record of programme management/project management of large scale, complex projects in a corporate environment. Including the delivery of application development and technical infrastructure projects. * Experience of robust management of multiple suppliers * Proven track record in business development and ability to close deals. * Proven leadership capability and behaviours. * Effective communicator and IT competent. * Appreciation of contract law, commercial terms and conditions, technical specifications and tending procedures. * Commercial awareness of competitors. Desirable * Be technically competent across a broad range of water supply services. * Delivered projects within Data/Cyber * Able to interpret requirements into real world solutions.
