Salary £23,500 – £24,000 dependent on experience
An autonomous role, with responsibility for your own region, delivering mandatory/induction training and developing bespoke courses.
Part of our Support Centre and with responsibility for the West Midlands area you will closely support our homes to ensure that they are able to provide first class care to all of our service users. In this varied role, you’ll be
- Delivering mandatory, induction and refresher training across your region, including subjects such as safeguarding, moving & handling, fire, NAPPI and more
- Working with the home managers to identify individual and group training needs
- Development and delivery of bespoke courses
- Supporting and facilitating specialist training in your region
- Monitoring and reporting on training compliance
- Supporting and facilitating apprenticeship programmes
- Observing care practices to monitor the efficacy of training
- Attending regular contact meetings at the Support Centre
You’ll have excellent training delivery skills and with great communication skills (both written and verbal) you’ll be able to build relationships with people at all levels of the organisation. You’ll be able to work effectively as part of a geographically dispersed team, whist managing your own workload according to the priority of your regional training needs. You’ll be able to work on your initiative, able to raise any concerns or issues appropriately, and have good analytical and report writing skills. You must be able to travel across your region regularly to carry out your duties.
You must either have (or be working towards) a training qualification (PTTLS or equivalent) or have previous experience of working in healthcare. We can support you with achieving the one that you don’t currently have.
