An exciting opportunity has come up with a global leader within the automotive industry. Over time, they have gained an excellent reputation for innovation and quality and they are now looking to add to their team by recruiting a LabVIEW Developer to join their team.

This role would allow you to work remotely throughout the week, although you would need to visit the site for at least 1 day per week.

Key responsibilities: Contribute to the delivery of the system or software being developed Contribute to planning, co-ordination, delivery and reporting of requirements Work towards the Centre of Competence performance Develop Test Software in accordance with software requirement specifications and company standards Construct Proofs of Concept and assess their viability to support automation development Ensure that code is modular, scalable, re-usable and well-documented Ensure code is version controlled and any change can be traced and documented Develop Test code that is Unit-Under-Test independent and user friendly Ensure code is properly tested and validated Assist in the management and development of external communications and status reporting Support colleagues by interfacing between stakeholders Translate requirements into system design Provide insight on complex software design activities and modification Evaluate and provide feedback on available and emerging technologies to determine the potential impacts and business valueRequired skills: Exposure to LabVIEW in a professional capacity Ability to complete complex LabVIEW tasks Understanding of Software Architecture and LabVIEW design patterns Understanding of software testing (Unit test, white and black box, etc) Ability to create a simple and intuitive user interfaceDesirable (but NOT essential): NI CLAD, CLD or CLA Knowledge of Linux and Bash scripting Knowledge of XML and INI Style Knowledge of VBA, Python, C, Matlab, Java, JavaScript, JSON, REST, etc Exposure to an automotive environmentWe're shortlisting NOW!
