Support Workers (Learning Disabilities) 

Job Type:  Full-time (38 hours), part-time and flexi positions available

Closing Date: 09/05/2018 – interviews are being held on a weekly basis

Hourly rate for contracted posts:  £7.86 - £8.29 depending on experience and qualifications

Hourly rate for flexi/bank posts: £8.81 (includes 95p in lieu of holiday entitlement)

We have a strong record of delivering high quality supported living services for adults with learning disabilities and are a not-for-profit registered charity firmly established in the East Midlands, Wales, and Shropshire.

The key purpose of these roles is to consistently deliver a person-centred service for people with a learning disability, ensuring opportunities to develop their skills and actively participate within their home and community.

Working with 3 individuals who require creative strategies to engage them, the role would suit candidates who are able to think outside of a typical support worker role. The successful candidates will have a good understanding of the different ways that behaviour can challenge the implementation of support strategies.

Applicants will ideally have an interest or experience of working:

  • with people with learning disabilities
  • within a health or social care environment
  • with people who challenge services

Positive Behaviour Management trained preferred but not essential as full training will be given .

Holding a full driving licence is essential as you may be required to drive vehicles owned by the people we support.
