Nelson Permanent Placements are currently recruiting for a Payroll Assistant to work with their prestigious client based in Bromsgrove. Package:
• GBP20,000-GBP22,000 (Depending on experience)
• 24 Days Holiday
• Onsite parking

• Yearly salary reviews

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday
8:45am- 4:30pm

Responsibilities:

• Maintains payroll processing system and records by gathering, calculating and inputting data
• Computes employee take-home pay based on time records, benefits and taxes
• Answers staff questions about wages, deductions, attendance and time records
• Receives and coordinates requests for leave and other absences
• Adheres to payroll policies and procedures and complies with relevant law
• Identifies, investigates, and resolves discrepancies in timesheet and payroll records
• Honours confidentiality of employee's pay records
• Completes payroll reports for record-keeping purposes or managerial review
• Determines organisations tax obligations by calculating national tax as well as national insurance contributions
• Performs the distribution of wages through direct transfers to employee's bank accounts
• All employees are expected to live our company values and operate within our policies and procedures.
• All employees have a responsibility to maintain health & safety of self and others within the performance of their duties in accordance with the company health & safety policies.
• All other duties as requested

Skills Required:

• Must have good knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Good communication skills bother oral and written
• Good problem solving skills
• Confident in their own ability
• Adaptable to new systems & procedures
• Strong sense of humour
• Sociable

Qualifications:

• Must have GCSE's in Maths & English at Grade C & above
• CIPP certificate
