Given our ambitious and exciting growth plans for the future we are looking for a Warranty Data Analyst

The Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in creating, managing and controlling engineering change relating to the various BOMs used within the company. This primary focus will be on developing reference data about part usage on the vehicle and support the planning and delivery of engineering change. This will involve developing a good detailed understanding of the vehicle and its features and using this to guide the engineers through the change management process.

In addition, the role will include BOM development to support Purchasing, Manufacturing and the Aftersales group. To this end the successful candidate shall have effective verbal and written communication skills able to communicate at all levels of business operations.

Main duties and responsibilities

Provide a series of accurate bill of materials (BOM) to provide reference data and change management support throughout the business.
Lead validation activities with stakeholders to confirm the accuracy of reference data.
Support engineering change activities with accurate and timely information regarding the addition, deletion and usage changes of old, new or modified parts.
Assist in the development of engineering change / BOM strategies within LEVC.
Engage with sister companies - VCC (Volvo Commercial Cars), CEVT (China Euro Vehicle Technology) and Geely - to promote standardisation and maximise lessons learned in both BOM development and engineering change.
Identify and build relationships with colleagues across the Geely Automotive Group to improve communications and make sure co-ordinated change is handled correctly.
Engage with the CBIT(Cross Brand Issue Tracker ) and STC (Shared Technology Centre) processes to make sure LEVC is aware of related developments across the Geely Automotive Group.
Participate in the software release process both within LEVC and with VCC.
The position will require frequent contact with Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, SQA, Suppliers, PLM team and Health & Safety Executive

Education and Experience

HNC level in Engineering or equivalent.
Training history in Engineering Change Management.
Advanced Excel skills including V-Lookups and pivot tables.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement new processes.
Three years' experience in the automotive industry in an analytical role.
Good understanding of automotive design and development process including all the stages involved and BOM requirements of each.
At least two years' experience of BOM development and validation.
Good knowledge of engineering Bills of Materials and how they relate to Purchasing, Manufacturing and Aftersales.
Understanding of EBOM to PBOM to MBOM to SBOM.
Two years' experience of engineering change management - WERS / Enovia / TeamCenter and a full understanding of the process detail and the associated concepts and terminology
Good understanding and handling of Engineering data bases and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) resources to get and use information as BOM's, drawings and material specifications
Able to establish cross functional and cross regional network to efficiently communicate and exchange information
Basic knowledge of Automotive Manufacturing processes & technologies
