MRB Health & Social Care Recruitment have an excellent opportunity for a Deputy Manager based within a service that provides residential care to individuals who have learning disabilities and complex physical needs.
The service is in a rural location, with good bus service into the city centre. The service provides support for individuals with learning disabilities and complex physical needs including epilepsy and PEG feeding. Individuals have a range of communication needs and staff are highly trained to provide the necessary support. People who live at the service are encouraged to be as independent as possible and to take part in activities in and out of the service and are supported to attend appointments, social activities and work if they choose.
Our client truly are experts in their field, with many years' experience delivering specialist services to adults and children across learning disabilities, complex care, acquired brain injury, physical disabilities, mental health and autistic spectrum disorders. Care and support is provided across supported living services and residential homes.

As a Deputy Manager, you will oversee the Support team and work closely with the Home Manager and be responsible for promoting, managing and co-ordinating care plans and ensuring the service runs effectively and safely, adhering to company policies and procures and within CQC requirements.
As part of your role, as Deputy Manager, you will be expected to allocate shifts and training days, oversee recruitment and induction days and take a hands-on approach to management.
In return, our client will support you to work towards a relevant Care and Management qualification.
Requirements for a Deputy Manager:
- Excellent time management experience, record keeping and administration
- Attention to detail
- Experience in recruitment and rota management
- Experienced within a similar role within a relevant care setting
- Familiar with appropriate regulations and legislation
- Ideally some experience in budgeting or willing to learn
