Paint Process Technician
Job Objectives
My client are Europe's leading manufacturer of original accessories, small series parts and systems for the automotive world. To utilize the paint application parameters in accordance with customer specifications. Work with plant staff to achieve quality requirements i.e. colour matching, levelling, adhesion etc.

Assignments (Main Working Areas)
• Ensure the setup of paint application equipment in the paint shop for all possible paint applications in accordance with standards and best practice.
• Create and improve paint application parameters (paint consumption, cycle time)
• Develop continuous improvements and sustainable solutions for paint application in accordance with project and plant requirements
• Ensure the development of new products, the commissioning of the pumps and piggable system for the new paint line and the support for the control plan updates
• Liaise with the Engineering department regarding NPI
• Assist in product feasibility during NPI quotation
• Partake in yearly CI planning
• Partake in yearly capital planning
• Assist with Technical team training and gap analysis

Responsibilities / Duties
• Responsible for top up and maintenance of paint application equipment
• Maintain paint delivery at peak efficiency
• Review line/product yield to define opportunities from improvement
• Maintain paint delivery system and pumps
• Ensure all departmental work is carried out in line with work instructions and QMS
• Review functional operations in a structured manner (LPA/PDCA/CCAR)
• Collate and monitor paint line yield and environmental KPI's, trends and SPC charts to present to the wider team
• Report all accidents, potential near miss/risk situations and defective equipment using the agreed procedure and wear issued PPE without fail

Authorisations / Competences
• Present a professional imagine when communicating internally and externally
• Maintain excellent verbal and written communication
• Drive and support the requirements to uphold accreditations including IATF16949 and ISO14001

Education/Experience/Special skills
• 3-5 Years
• Piggable delivery systems, automated paint lines
• Robotic application, 1k & 2k
• Good Level of PC Skills
• Bell & E stat (beneficial)
