My client, due to continued growth, is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to provide breakdown support to manufacturing areas as well as carry out improvements and preventative maintenance on equipment.

Duties and responsibilities include:
• Routine maintenance and renovation of facilities equipment
• Fault finding and repair of equipment (including Compressors/Heating/General Power and lighting/ Gas/Air/Water supplies)
• Planned preventative maintenance of support facilities
• Adhere to departmental systems (recording downtime, etc)
• Adhere to safe working practices and observe safety rules at all times
• Provide a timely response to equipment stoppages
• Identify improvements to facilities equipment
• Work to KPIs such as equipment OEE

Skills and experience:
• Completed a recognised Maintenance apprenticeship or time-served, preferably within a facilities role
• Completed a C&G L3 Electrical Technical Qualification & 17th Edition Regulations, C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing or equivalent
• Proven fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Good working knowledge of: Risk assessments; IOSH; chemical awareness; confined space training
• Ability to coach others

The successful candidate will be highly organised, able to effectively manage your time and prioritise workload. You will be an effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills, open to change and have a can-do approach. You must be able to establish clear objectives and be results-focused, flexible and team-orientated with a self-motivated approach to work.

The hours are 39 hours a week, Monday to Friday, and overtime is paid at time and a half.
