Our client is a leading standalone UK-focused downstream energy company and has a strong UK market share (circa 16%). Their refinery in Ellesmere Port processes 9 million tonnes of crude oil and feedstock per year and is a major supplier in North-West England with customers including most of the major retail brands operated by the international oil companies and the hypermarkets, together with Manchester Airport and the region’s trains and buses.

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Territory Manager to join their retail business unit within their Marketing team, developing and managing long term customer relationships and coordinating the activities of all service providers supporting the accounts to achieve sales targets. You will develop new markets as additional locations are developed; coordinating between supply, sales support and the wider Marketing team to delivering margin growth opportunities.
Within this role you will manage accounts across the portfolio and will identify and convert new retail and business opportunities. You will support with margin generation for sales of retail grades across the portfolio, will provide a commercial understanding of the supply chains of retail grades and will agree contracts with customers, managing liability / reputational issues which arise.
Our ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent with proven experience of working in a similar Account Management / Sales role, with technical literacy, project management capability and an understanding of operational supply chains. You will have solid key Account Management experience, with the ability to coordinate service providers to fulfill customer requirements whilst controlling costs and sales experience and driving our service forward making it the best that it can be.
