About the role
If you're naturally helpful and flexible enough to work shifts, you could become an ambassador for Severn Trent, helping us deliver clear, calm customer service over the phone.
You'll talk and listen to customers who call us with a water or waste related problem. Every conversation is different. Customers might be without water. They might have waste water where they don't want it. It could be a complex complaint or a simple query. Customers might be anxious or annoyed. It's your job to deal calmly with each call, reassuring people, diffusing problems and explaining clearly what we're going to do to help. You will not only talk to customers but also respond to them through our digital and web based channels. It's not the easiest customer service job there is, but it does feel good to help people. Salary starts at £17,650 and you can expect to receive an increase in your salary after passing probation to £19,239.
